Windhorse
The life force called windhorse is the unlimited energy of basic goodness, buddhanature, inherent wakefulness. We come to know that all is one. There are no spare parts. There are no minor roles.

"Discovering your Essence of Balance and Harmony"
Here is a list of teachings, workshops, individual work and small group studies. We can work together or you are welcome to begin on your own and see how it goes. Contact us with your ideas. Let us know if you would like our suggested reading list and ISBN numbers. Also, we accept barter or we can forward you our sliding scale pricing. Now it's your turn to create true harmony in your life, and then pay it forward to help others!
Meditation – This teaching shows us how we can be quiet with ourselves and not be carried away with the thoughts that arise. We can learn to appreciate that the worries don’t go away, but the worrier can. We discover our “Soul Space” and that we carry it with us everywhere we go. The practice teaches that not only can we ‘walk the talk’, but we can ‘live the life’ of the who, we were always meant to become. We share who we are, by how we live every day and how we authentically interact with the world around us – living mindfully, awake and at peace, with ourselves.

Toltec Wisdom – We tend to live according to the dream of our caregivers and the dream of society. We sense that there is more to life, but we feel in conflict with the belief system we grew up with, and find ourselves living in. With this teaching, we find the path to becoming whole. We start to live by the Four Agreements: 1) Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or others. 2) Nothing others do is because of you. 3) Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. 4) Doing your best will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

Smudging – All Indigenous people use herbs for purifying space, nature and individuals. Smudging is the word for the purifying smoke ceremony. There are several plants that can be used: dried desert sage for cleansing and purifying, dried cedar for balancing body, mind and spirit, dried lavender for beautifying, and braided sweet grass for conferring blessings. During the Smudging Ceremony we acknowledge that Sacred Time is here and now. We open a door to the archetypal world and step through it.

Earth Medicine – Healing our environment is of the highest priority. We have inherited the Earth from our parents and the children of the Earth will inherit what we leave behind. With openness and full compassion for ourselves we can affect change on the vital blood of our Mother Earth – her Water! Learn to transmute toxins and influence pH and other measurable values toward a more balanced state. Initiate a positive change in your local pond, river or lake. You will begin to see Nature in a completely new way. Just as inherent in every drop of dew there is a rainbow waiting for the sun, our cellular memory holds our “Earth Knowing”. We are not here just to inhabit!

Spiritual Intimacy - We grew up learning that most all personal discomfort is “bad news”. But in reality, these are literally windows of opportunity, to see the truth of the moment. How do we react when we sense anger & jealously, or resentment & fear, or regret & disappointment? If we are willing to watch ourselves as if acting in a movie, these very moments will show us where we hold back, where we raise a shield, raise our voice, raise a drink, raise a hand, raise blame, etc. We have a choice. If we are brave enough, we will see the truth about ourselves. Then, we begin to soften our response and slow our reaction. We learn to be more open to the moment. We look beyond the whom that we were, to get a glimpse at the who we are becoming.

Prayer – We need to honor our own reasons for being on this Earth. This teaching shows us how we can present to the world our Souls, by becoming Prayer practitioners. If you are not praying, then you are living off the Prayer of others. Find the people that are in your Soul Care – family, friends and yes, even complete strangers. Prayer knows that the whole world is one - do you? Help change the world with your prayer, by blending your life with the lives of those you pray for. Prayer knows no distance. Prayer travels faster than the speed of light - and how appropriate!
There is a place in each of us that, when it starts to awake, is like a meadow in Springtime. Every seed that was ever planted has the opportunity to sprout. And yes, even the seeds from life times ago. This is the ever evolving root system of our Soul. The tears of longing, wet the fertile soil of our being. We can acknowledge our own light and it quickly spreads across our own field of dreams. Our breath becomes the breeze for the birds of paradise and bees of wonder, to teach us our songs to sing and to pollinate our potential. Just as inherent in every acorn, there is a mighty Oak tree waiting for the sun warmed soil and the clouds that bring the rains, we too hold the vast potential of becoming whole; for all the world to discover who we are by how we share and how we offer to help others as we have been helped. ~ John

Trainer Sue Wallingford - a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki and Polarity Practitioner. As a youngster Sue believed her Life was in almost constant turmoil. "I felt disconnected during my early years. I wanted more, but certainly I didn’t know there was any more! At home, I was often depressed. However, I knew from experiences out of doors that there was a liveliness and energy that I didn’t yet fully comprehend.”
How did I get started in the Energy work and Massage? My healing profession began, as an Occupational Therapist group facilitator in the Mental Health profession. I didn’t know it at the time, but sub-consciously I wanted to be healed and this was my start, by helping others.
Next, I went back to a more physically based practice in a small community hospital. I was growing and able to express my feelings and senses. For me, there was mutual respect and appreciation between my co-workers and patients. This lead me into the Occupational Health field performing work-site evaluations and ergonomic education for local companies.
After a few years of working with the physical side of health, I realized that no one was including the energy side of the equation. I worked in many situations with the employee at their “work station”, but something was missing. My intuition was telling me about the un-healthiness of the employee, not just their work-station.
So, my Energy work and Massage really chose me. A path that was so real, I couldn’t avoid it. There is a strong connection between people’s life force and the energy of the universe. Mind, Body and Spirit are One! When I started doing energy work and massage in the nineties – it was both an offering and a teaching. I was finally helping the whole person. Assisting people from all walks of life to get in touch with themselves and to discover their highest potential. Contact Susan via email by Clicking Here

Trainer John Lehmus - As a Certified Holistic Counselor, John began to truly walk his Spiritual path in the early nineties. While living in Arizona, he joined a Basic Community. A few years later, the Fire of an Apache Sweat Lodge, initiated him to the birth of an altered consciousness with our Mother Earth, our Father Sky and the veils of Spirit, in-between! A wakefulness and appreciation, like never before.
His trust and beliefs have been greatly influenced through the works of Pema Chödrön, Sandra Ingerman, Don Miguel Ruiz, Thich Nhat Hanh, Alberto Villoldo, Evelyn Rysdyk, Allie Knowlton, John O’Donohue and others. Self-growth, curiosity and understanding also grew from his outdoor experiences in our waters, our lands and working with animals.
Even as a preschooler, John remembers capturing Bumblebees in a jar, just to watch them and then let them go. He even constructed his own 'have-a-heart' trap to capture and then release chipmunks. Still in his first decade, he started a collection of Butterflies and Moths. Now in his fifth decade, he still picks up most feathers, acorns and pine cones but most of his animal and insect collecting is now done with a camera. But, the curiosity of life and nature continues every day. Ignorance has no beginning, only an ending! "Beginners Mind, makes every day brand new!".
John enjoys making walking sticks & rune pendants, plus writing, participating in Small Group Ministry and Vespers, working with the environment; particularly marine animals, astronomy, drumming circles, living in the beauty and truth found in Nature and the study of Indo-European Shamanic practice. In the business world, John offers database design, computer and web site training. Contact John via email by Clicking Here. He is also affiliated with the Saco Healing Arts Center as a holistic health counselor. Their web site is http://www.SacoHealingArts.com Check under practitioners and modalities.
